Blush Palette

Hey Everyone!

I bought my first blusher palette, from make up revolution, ' Hot Spice '
It was actually the first thing i had ever purchased from the brand,. as recently i haven't really been updating my make up bag, just living of the essential;s when its ran out i've repurchased the same thing.. Lazy of a beauty lover, but i am making up for it now.

I wanted a palette for a long time, as they are only £6, there was a choice of 2, one was a pink collection, and the other orange shades.
I went for the orange, but have made a hint to my partner i want the other one, so if he doesn't buy it i will just buy it myself.
As you can see there are 8 shades in the palette, so 100% worth every penny, less than £1 a blusher, could it get any better?
It also has a full size mirror so it makes using it even easier.
Each day i use a different colour and have loved every one, the pay off is very good, you don't need to add much to your brush. If neglected it will become very messy though, so you need to really look after it ( and i would advice buying it !!)
Available in your local Superdrug,

Brand series - month 1, week 1

Welcome to part one of my new mini series that will be on going for a few months.
Basically each month i will choose a brand and then mention some of the best products from the brand, and worst.. if i've really disliked something. It also gives me a reason to try out some new things! Which of course makes everything good when you have a reason to buy make up. I thought it would be quite interesting. Every Saturday there will be a post about this, so here is number one.. Enjoy.

MUA- Make up Academy
One of the cheapest make up brands out there, which of course is a great thing because you can try different shades of things for next to nothing before you splash out and buy something from a different brand. Like a lipstick, you never know what type of colours suit you until you try them.. and it must be very disappointing to spend £10 on a colour that does not suit you at all!
It's a great brand, that is sold in superdrug's. Every one i have been in stock this brand because i know smaller stores dont stock as many make up counters but luckily this one is everywhere. If you haven't tried anything from this brand, or haven't heard of it. Where have you been??

The product i'm talking about today is an eyeshadow trio and i have mention it before but it was quite a while ago.
http://www.superdrug.com/MUA/Make-Up-Academy-Trio-Eyeshadow-Pink-Sorbet/p/267664#.VKWmbYqsW1w
How cute are these little trios, and only £2.50, they have lots of different shades avaible to make the perfect eye shade. one colour for the crease and then all over shades. I think they are a great idea. You do get a small applicator with it, but i wouldnt reccomend it because i dont think they are the best quality.

Beauty Brands

Today's post is a little sneak preview of what will be coming in the new year. I have decided to do reviews throughout the year ( as long as i can ) of products. Each month will be a different brand and each saturday there will be a review from that brand. All my favioures, that i want to share with you. I also thought i could start to try other brands throughout the year. And give you some ideas of something new for you to try.
Sneak Peak;
January is all about Rimmel!
I will try my very best to not mention things that i've mentioned before, but like i said in my opinion they are the best from the brand so many somethings will be repeated. I promise i will do my best to not keep blabbing about the same things.
Let me know if there is a particular brand you want me to talk about.

Mua pallete

Yes I know they aren't the best quality eyeshadows in the world but I really do like MUA ( make up academy)  They are not only cheap, but they have quite a few different shades of colours. Each palette is quite different. I have had a few in the past, but moving house things get lost and broken and sadly they have all ended up in the bin due to breakages. £4 for a palette you don't expect it to last forever and be the best quality packaging.
So when I popped into superdrug the other day I picked a palette up.
It's called the heaven and earth palette, and is the normal plain nude and brown collection, but it's the type of colours that suits everyone. Beautiful shades for any occasions.
It has some really nice shimmer colours that you can really work with. a nice base colour and then a darker matter colour in the crease will look very nice. Any time of year.

Mua palate pinks

I thought for once I would buy a palette that wasn't full of nudes and browns, because that's what I tend to buy all the time, I guess when your comfortable with something, you get into a habit and it's difficult to get out of it. I saw this palette and it's slightly different to anything id normally buy. It has pinks and purples, slightly like the naked 3( from pictures as I don't own it ) I never thought id use the naked 3 because I didn't really care much for pinks, but now I'm thinking it might be worth a buy.
As you can see in the photo, it has some really nice shimmers and matte colours, a very nice mixture. It also has a eyeliner and highlighter pencil included.
This was £6.00 which is so reasonably priced. It's beautiful, if you want to buy someone a little something for their stocking this christmas. Make sure its this!!
You can get this in Superdrug stores or on the internet.

Crazy!

I actually think I have problems.. All I think about most of the day is, oh shall I try something different with my hair.
Do a different face mask, do my make up at ten o'clock at night?! Why!!
Is that normal or just me??

Growing up for girls is normally the same, obviously not everyone likes makeup, but a lot do. As I went into secondary school I couldn't care. I had awful skin, and the worst hair; but of course I didn't care when I was 11. Now I see kids at that age with faces fl of make up. But each year came and I started trying different things. And now it's all I talk about! Sad as anything!!

I feel sorry for my fella because he must know more about beauty things than anyone man should ever know.
I do have friends that are into the same things, but not many. And for my friend group, beauty products isn't the type of conversation we have because we hardly ever see each other due to other important life things.

So if any of you want to chat about makeup skin hair, anything beauty. Hit me up, I'd love to have a chat about products that I should try, or even recommend things for you!

Thank you xxx

Make up week- day three

Mua undressed pallete. I love a good pallete, mostly when it's neutral. It's better when it's cheap( apart from urban decay shadows, they are worth the money in my opioion! )

I think the first pallete I purchased was this one. It's around £4! And surprising has lasted me a long time. I use one of the colours for my eye brows another for. Highlighter under the brows, and have tried every other colour and there is not one I dislike.
You can do so many different combinations with these colours. Smokey eyes are really easy to do with a neutral pallete.
I find you do get a lot of fall out but I also think you can't be fussy because of the price!
For anyone starting out wanting to try something cheap to try different things get an mua pallete!! I know not everyone is a neutral kind of person, so have a look because they do lots of different types!

Yes I know the state of mine is horrible! But it's very old, as you can see I've hit pan on more than one shade.

What's In My Makeup Bag??

I wanted to share with you the state of my make up bag ( its awful! ) but mainly what is actually in it, most of it i don't actually need in there i just seem to always put it back in there if i put it away. Most of these things I've had for a while, there isn't really any new make up I've bought for a while. I seem to be on a huge skincare rave at the moment!
Basically my make up bag is a wash bag, i just wanted a simple but big enough storage bag just for my general day to day make up ( there's a lot more then day to day! ) so i thought id just go for a black boring thing!
Link here - http://www.superdrug.com/make-up/superdrug-cosmetic-bag/invt/220570&bklist= (£4.99)

I thought id just put the link because if your interested in a boring make up bag you can check it out but i thought there was no point to put a photo of mine up. Trust me it's not exciting at all!
I'm not going to go into detail on things because we will be here forever.
But these are the products i roughly use every day, things just change depending on how i feel or where I'm going, but most of the time the looks are just the same.

£1 product!

Today is just a quick review for you, it's on a concealer that I bought last week. It's the ' hide and and conceal ' from mua. And obviously as most of you know a lot of their products are £1. I think at one point everything was a £1 but as prices always do, they rise, and it's no different for this brand.
This concealer obviously isn't the best but it's actually really good if you look at the price too.
I don't like the thing it's self, if that makes any sense, but I don't like the stick itself but the product itself is great!
It hides exactly what I need it to, and for most of the time too without it going cakey. I think it's one of those products though that you love or hate.

Happy girl!

100! This is my 100th post! And I just want to thank every single one of you for reading my blog. I assume you've ended up hear accidentally but you don't know how much this means to me. Last year I became very ill and needed something to pass the time and I thought about it, about what I enjoyed doing or took any interest in. And it's beauty! Any thing beauty, skin, hair, anything! I just enjoy reading product reviews, checking out new products coming out.
So to pass the time I started writing silly reviews on products, and now I really enjoy it and wish I could take it seriously enough to make a job out of it ( that'll never happen ) but It would be amazing.
Thank you everyone so much!!
Love you all xxxx

Selfies!

Doesn't everyone love a good selfie! Everyone should do it more often. Time to pose!
Ive been feeling so happy recently that I've had time to do my hair and make up. It makes you feel so much better. I think everyone should take extra time on their selfs because it makes so much difference to a person!
Time to feel great season is coming everyone!

Knock off!

What a knock off! Look at ' Muas' new packaging, which is obviously supposed to be a dupe for ' Essie'
Can you believe it? And look at the size difference, I understand there is a lot of price difference but it's the most smallest nail vanish I've ever seen.
Very disappointed in this packaging.
Preferred the old style ones.

Lipstick time!

Lipsticks are a funny thing, because I buy them, and I don't really use them. Yet I carry on buying them in hope that I will eventually find a color that suits me. If anyone can help reccommend a colour for me, my pale skin just makes them all look silly. I have a few to talk about today. Some Mua, and Avon. I will not give up on buying lipsticks because I eventually have to find one I like! As you can tell this will be full of pictures!
Starting with Avon, it's the ' color trend range' here's two lipsticks to show you. Below are two pictures. The one at the top is a hot pink, it is called ' doll pink' the one beneath is called ' pink holiday' and it's a lighter shade and isn't as much in your face. As you can in the swatch the colors are the other way round.
Next up MUA the cheapest make up brand in the drugstore, kind of :) once again I have two, one the lip boom but I don't like the lipgloss :).
The dark pink is very similar to the one above, I like the lighter pink. The dark is ' MUA shade 3' and was £1 for superdrug. The light is from the lip boom. Shade ' cheeky ' I do really like the lip stick but the lipgloss on is very bitty and I don't like it it smells beautiful but doesn't feel nice on your lips.
I hope you like the colours, do start trying lipsticks if you've always wanted to, and at the price who can complain?! Cheap an cheerful!
Thank you

Eye shadow palets :)

Until recently I never wore eye shadow. And then I hate going out without it. Only if I'm wearing a full face of makeup. Obviously there are days when I only wear a bit of foundation. So it's not always an essential. I have a few palettes I never really bother with singles one, I think I'd lose them.this palett is by sleek, it's my faviorute one. I really like the colours, I'm not really one for bright colours so the natural ones are all I use. This one has matte colours, and glittery ones. I like that because it makes a bit of a change, the black is a bit dark but I just avoid that one. To buy In ' superdrug ' it is £7.99 but you might actually be able to buy it from somewhere online a little cheaper. It comes with a brush, I dont use it but others might like it. And a huge mirror, the mirror comes in handy at times.

The next one in the mua heaven and earth palett. This one is great for the price! You get loads of neutral colours that blend well together and look good on any occasion. Day time or night time wear. There are some I use more than others, but I don't mind for the price. This one also came with a brush, but it's the same sort and I just can't get along with them very well. The only thing is unlike the sleek one you don't get the mirror. This one is £4 in superdrug, I know that mua are exclusive to superdrug, but I know they have an nine website where you can purchase online. This one is the ultimate collection also by mua, and look at it it has so many different colours. It's beautiful, obviously as I keep saying I like natural colours so I only use certain ones, but least I have them if I ever need them for some occasion. This one was £8 from superdrug, as you can see the same brush ( getting boring now ) with no mirror. But this one has some of my best eyeshadows I have ever used and I really do like this one.

Thank you for reading. Sorry I've been slaking recently I promise I'm doing my best to get back up to date.
                                                                                                                                                 Nicola xxx

Make up!

I just want to start by saying thank you to all you people who read my blog, it's amazing and the more views I get the more excited I get! I check it every morning and I'm so grateful.
I just ask some of you should comment below to tell me what sort of stuff you want to see, I only want to talk about things that interest you!
I thought I'd talk about 10 make up bits I couldn't live without. They are all from super drug or boots, and I wouldn't say any of them were over pricey.
To start of with I have to speak about foundation, and I'm sure so many people have heard bloggers/bloggers rave about it. It is the 'rimmel wake me up' it's wonderful and I know certain places you can get it for about £4.99. I don't know weather or not they sell it in different countries but if they do you'll have to let me know! I really do like it because it brightens up your skin when your feeling dull. Everyone should try that out!
Next up on the same sort of lines we will stick with concelar, as your reading this I'm wondering if anyone already knows because literally everyone! Talks about this. It is the ' collection 2000  lasting perfection' this is also about £4-£5 I use around my eyes and my chin area where I get spots.
Onto cheeks. I had never really found a blusher until recently that I would of asked spoke about. I bought a few ' sleek ' products but my favourite is the blusher in ' Sahara' it's an orangey tone that suits me. That was also about £4.99.
Eyes! My eye make up is the most important bit to me. When I was younger I wouldn't go out the house with a fullest of eyelashes full mascara eyeliner. I'm not to bad now. We will start on eyeshadow, I don't really have one colour that I always use, I just use my big ' Mua pallette' it was £8 but has 24 different colours.
Eyeliners, I have a few that I really do like, gel pencil liner I have 2 that I switch and change, the rimmel scandals eyes one and Avon super shock. I like both of them some times they are on offer but can be a little pricy.
Other eyeliners I use the 'Mua' eyeliner in black that is  £1 it's cheap and does the job, it doesn't last all day but I don't mind for that cheap.
Mascara, I have loads but I would have to say my favourite at the moment is the falsies one. It's bright packing attracted me, but it really helps on my rubbish lashes.
Nearly at the end so onto lip products, I have 2 boring ones that I like. The soap and glory sexy mother pucker, I like the way it feels but don't mind the colour. And a Avon lip plumping one in clear.
I know it's been a long post but thanks for reading, let me know what you want!

Mua makeup

Some people have heard of mua ( make up academy) and some haven't. Most people just hate the idea of using makeup that's so cheap, because they think it would be rubbish. I agree some of the products are rubbish, and some aren't.
For example the eyeshadows are really good. Single ones are £1 which is really cheap! And ok if you just want one colour inpaticular. But I prefer to go for the pallets as you get more for your money, they just aren't something you can fit into your average make up bag. There are so many different ones, some £4 some £8. Like for example there is a palett witch is called ' immaculate collection' which is £8, but it has an amazing 24 shades! From browns, blacks to blues and pinks. It's a really wide range of choice. It comes with a double sided brush inside it.
Some of the other products for example the primer, isn't the best I think primer is something you need to spend more money on to be effective, well at least in this case.
I haven't tried all the range of products because some just dont shout at to me, and wouldn't be something I would ever use. Apart from the kohl eyeliners, I only have used black because other bright colours wouldn't suit me. But for £1 they are great, they come with a sharpner In the lid so that's always handy. The eyeliner is really dark and goes on great but it won't last all day, it's something that will need topping up, but who can complain at £1?
Don't be afraid to be cheap, try it out!
