Ciate advent calendar- Day 1

Yes this is a day late and i'm very sorry for that.. It wont happen again i promise, It Just means you get to see 2 vanishes in one day!
Because i have decided to post every day about every colour i get in my advent, some days there will be 2 posts.. which is all exciting, but obviously it does take more time.
I also have lush products to review for you all through out December, so it's going to be a very busy month! How exciting.
Sooo.. back onto the nail subject.
I got Snow globe!
This is more of a top coat then a colour. Glitters are harder to take of your nails, and with it being some a light shade, its harder to use. This colour will go with any colour, but with it being christmassy i think at the moment a nice deep red and a green, just to get in the festive spirit.
It has nice big flakes in of silver and very light blue. A beautiful shade for this season.

Soap and Glory

Everyone loves this brand, and if they dont they are crazy! because i haven't met a girl who doesn't love the products with their beautiful fragrance.
I have tried near enough every single product from shower gels, to make up. A bit of everything. So it wasn't a surprise then when i went into Boots and saw 3 for 2 was on that i went straight to the soap and glory section. I picked up 2 products from the brand,
- Sugar Crush Body Wash
- Clean Girls Body Wash
yes they both dont sound to exciting, but are wonderful. I haven't ever tried the clean girls one, but it smells quite nice. The sugar crush one is my all time favourite  It smells like lime, its so sweet and fruity. Just beautiful.
They were both £6.50 each, which is quite expensive; but its 100% worth it. They last forever, weeks and weeks. The product that just keeps going. With it being a pump dispenser it saves on a lot of waste.

Charlie

Yes its kind of cheating, but i thought when i buy presents that are beauty ish related i will share with you because if your struggling for things to find maybe these little stocking fillers will help. something so simple for £4 yet a nice gift idea is this charlie set. It contains 4 body spray minis at 50ml. It has Charlie pink, Charlie Shimmer, Charlie Bittersweet and Charlie Red.
Yes its not exactly the best present in the world, but for someone a little picky its easy and simple.

A Yankee Christmas

I love a good Christmas fragrance; and nothing is better than a glowing candle in the winter, so really Christmas smelling candles are perfect. I hate the thought of spending £20 on one candle, that gets to a certain point where you can't burn it any more and you waste most of it. Yes you have a nice jar that you can reuse in some way if you want to, which I have done with mine. But for the price I prefer to buy the small sample ones so I can have a few different ones to try rather than just one scent.
I recently bought 2 small candles from the Christmas range.
There are a few different candles available. I've smelt a lot of them but there were a few i thought were too strong but might be different when lit.
- Candy Cane Lane
- Christmas Garland
- Icicles
-Snow In Love
-Baby Leaf wreath
- Sugared Apple
- Cranberry ice
- Red Apple Wreath
- Season Of Peace
- Sparkling Cinnamon
- Silver Birch Christmas Memories
- Angel Wings
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Cookie

I own Christmas Cookie and Christmas Eve. Out of the 2 christmas eve is nicer, it has the official christmas smell. But the other one is nice but like its named ' cookie ' its sweet.
Some of the range are really strong so if you are interested in buying one make sure you give it a sniff.
Yankee also do a very good range of christmas gifts.

these voites are £10.99 and are a good idea for people who want to try different candles from the christmas range.
Also avaibale is a yankee calander! how perfect
This calendar retails at £24.99, and it holds mini christmas candles. For the price it is 100% worth it, there is also a different type of calendar available as well.It is shaped like a wreath like you can see in the photo.
This one is roughly £30 and has 23 tea light candles and then one voite for christmas eve. as you can see in the picture it is beautifully packaged like a house which i think shows time and effort has gone into making this. also on a product like this i think packaging makes a massive differences. i am still tempted to buy one of these for my own house.

a few goodies

My christmas Wishlist

Obviously everyone deep down knows what they want for christmas. Yet when they get asked, people say ' oh i dont know '
YES WE DO!!
I've got a few things beauty related that i want for christmas so i thought i would share with you guys what i'm begging for from Santa.
http://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/nicepackage?intid=hppromo_vkb

Here is a link for a really great gift idea. and for me its perfect because i've only ever tried one thing from benefit and i hate the thought of spending quite a big amount on one thing and then to hate it so when i saw this a while ago i've been hinting for quite a long time
It's £66 and you get to choose a few different products,

one complexion product, so you can choose from either ' porefessional ' ' hello flawless ' or the ' porefessional agent zero '

one cheeks product. either ' hoola' ' rockateur' or ' benetint '

Eyes - ' fake up ' they're real mascara ' ' gimme brow '

then you can choose a free gift.

i thought this was such a good idea because you can choose what goes in the package. I WANT IT!!

I love the look of a good palette like many.. but i have the naked 2 and i'm not interested in one or 3 so i have been on the hunt for a different brand.
Too faced have some of the most beautiful pallettes i've ever seen.

http://www.boots.com/en/Too-Faced-The-Return-of-Sexy-Eye-Palette_1296941/

i think its great because it has different color sections to make different eye shades. Also everyone likes a beautiful looking oalette, well I do anyway. The fact it has 3 different sections excitements me, because normally in a pallete you get all nudes all bright sect, they are always the same shades of colours. So it's nice to see a pallete that has different sections.

12 days of Christmas

12 days of Christmas contains 12 great products, all different, but all amazing. This can be used as an advent calendar type thing, or even just as a gift. It retails at £50; which seems quite pricy, but I think it's worth it. I haven't actually tried any of the products that are in this gift, but I have used many different lush products in the past.
Singular bath bombs are roughly £4 each let alone the 2 soaps and shower gels which the box contains.
Dashing Santa, holly Golightly, golden wonder and star light star bright bath melt are all included.
If you are stuck for ideas, this is a good present, and something quick and easy. I will be doing reviews throughout December on the products involved, so if you are interested in hearing about the products make sure to come back then.
The packaging is big for what is in inside though i think they have wasted a lot of space to be honest but its really nice. It is presented like a book which i think is a nice idea, its a shame that when you open it all the products are there i think they could have packaged them some how to kind of hide the products because it slightly ruins the element of surprise. I know that on the outside it tells you the contents but i think for some people if they dont want to know, you dont have a choice as soon as you open it.
Sorry for anyone who didn't want to see the inside but maybe some of you do..
As you can see you have 12 sections in the box to keep the products separate, but i didn't really like the fact that the bath bombs haven not been wrapped like they normally would do when you purchase them in singles in the store.
Here is a photo of the outside packaging, and it is a lot bigger than it actually looks. But i think the packaging is very pretty.

Blusher!

This week I'm going to review a few products, that are quite new, I want to let you know my opinions obviously on the product as a whole, from colour pay off, to packaging and price :) I know I do these quite a lot but I love reading reviews on things so hopefully you lot like them too! Today I have a few blushes that I bought a few months ago,  so I thought it was a good time to discuss them as I've had time to use them a lot :)
So today I'm going to talk about sleek, sadly when I want to buy something from sleek I either have to buy it online from sleek official or from superdrug, or the other option is when I go to a city I can buy things from there. Sadly we don't have a sleek counter anywhere close to me. It's about an hour and a half away. How pathetic! It makes me angry. So obviously I bought these a while ago when I went to Nottingham.
I was standing for a while deciding what shades to get and just ended up buying 2.
I bought the most obvious of all ' rose gold ' which is the most common blusher made by sleek, so it was obvious if everyone else had it, it had to be good and i didnt want to be the other only without one!
It is a lovely colour, pink with slight gold glitter, I've had lots of compliments telling me how nice the colour looks, it's a nice flush of pink but the glitter looks like your more awake and gives you shine ( I need it ) being pale my face always looks dull so this colour helps lots!
The second one I brought was ' Sahara ' this is more of a brown/orangey shade, I thought it didn't look to bright and when I did a slight swatch I though it would look nice and glowing. I was 100% right. It's lovely and really brings colour to your cheeks, personally I think this one is more of a summer colour and I've stopped using it now because I don't have any tan now the sun has disappeared it doesn't suit my skin tone anymore.
Both these blushers are lovely and we're both around £4.99, from ' super drug ' they have a huge range of colours! The packaging is great I think it looks like it coat a lot more then a fiver! Sleek is exactly how I would describe the packaging, black and clean. With the ' sleek ' logo on it slightly. The blushers also have a mirror in which is very handy!
I will definitely buy more colours!! And recommend them to all of you!

Hair Care

I wanted to mention a few products I've been using on my hair that I've been enjoying. They aren't to pricey and are just normal products that most people use from day to day.
i've started using a new shampoo and conditioner recently, i dont think it is anything amazing but it smells amazing!!
Its just a simple one from ' Garnier Fructis '

i've inserted a picture here, as you can see what it looks like, its nothing exciting, the packaging is normal, it says that is is great to protect colour, and apparently helps to stop the hair from fading.

It Smells Beautiful! its a shampoo/conditioner that you can get out the shower and it still smells fresh and nice. I buy this from ' Home Bargains' so its super cheap about 99p a bottle i dont think anyone can complain at that price! My hair always feels so soft after a good wash using these products, highly recommend them to anyone!

I have also been using quite a lot of treatments and products after i've washed my hair. I have been using ' argan oil' products for a while as i think they are super inexpensive, work and smell nice too. I started off with the shampoo and conditioner and really enjoyed them.
I recently purchased the ' argan oil hair treatment ' its a small 330ml bottle that holds product ( oil ) i use a tiny drop after a shower and apply to my hair mainly the ends, but i use it about half way up my hair too.
I also have been using the ' argan oil heat defence leave in spray ' i use this just as i would any other heat defence. The smell is quite nice and the bottle is 150ml so its quite reasonably sized.

i've also finally tried a different dry shampoo from the obvious and famous ' batiste '
it's the ' vo5 refresh me quick ' and i really like it ! it's nice to try a different one every once in a while, it doesn't leave that awful white substance that batiste leave. I've heard a lot of good stuff about the dove one as well so i will be trying that soon!!

2013 is over!

What a year 2013 was, Not only for me but for the beauty industry. Lots of new products ( still a lot I want to try ) And some things that I never will own.
Starting off on a few things that I have tried and love or hated.
' Rimmel Baby Lips '
There was so much hype over these new lip balms with colour, and i was so excited to try them. Sadly it was a while after they were launched in the UK that i could try them because my local stores weren't stocking them. Amazingly my partner actually ordered me one of the internet to my surprise.
I actually have tried the one ' cherry me ' it has a very vibrant tint of pink, which is very nice. I also found that after a while it left it stain to my lips which was quite annoying because it is very moisturising for my lips but the staining is annoying. I do like the product though and would like to try the other ones, that is the only down side though.
' Rimmel stay matte foundation '
I LOVE this product, it is one of the best foundations i have used in a long time, i have used it constantly and surprising it lasts a very long time. A little goes a long way, it is amazing at hiding redness and blemishes and does everything i want a foundation to do. So obviously i cant ask for anything more in a product. I will also buy this again and again, as i have loved it constantly.
I dont think there any products that have been launched this year that i've actually tried apart from the two above.
Products i want to try and have heard great things about
' rimmel appoclips '

' boujour colour boost lip crayons '
' revlon just bitten lip stain '
' revlon just bitten kissable balms '
These are things that i am wanting to try very soon.
i would love to get a ' Urban Decay Naked pallet ' too this year especially as the ' NAKED 3 ' launched in 2013.

Let me know what products you have tried last year and loved.
